Guacamole is one of the most popular side dishes in Mexico. You can serve it with your favorite tortilla chips for a dip, or use with your favorite Mexican dish.
- 2 large avocadoes
- 1 lime
- 1 medium white onion (diced)
- 3 ⁄ 4 cup fresh cilantro (chopped finely)
- 1 large tomatoe (diced)
- finely chopped fresh jalapeno
Slice avocados in half. Discard the seed and scoop out of shell with a spoon in a bowl. Add juice of one fresh lime immediately to prevent browning and use a fork to mash the avocadoes. Add chopped onions, tomato, and cilantro. Add salt to taste and stir the mix. Add jalapeño to taste.
